Why use AI alt text?
AI alt text creates clear, accurate descriptions for every new image added through Loox. This helps:

How AI alt text works
Loox generates alt text automatically for every new review image. Alt text is added to your widget’s HTML so that screen readers and search engines can understand the media attached to each review.
What Loox analyzes - Loox scans the review’s photo and uses product details, review text, and your store’s language to create an accurate description with AI.
When Loox creates alt text - Loox generates alt text when:
A new photo review is submitted to your store
An existing review is updated with a new or replaced photo
A customer adds a photo through a reminder email
Note: AI alt text applies to any new photos uploaded by reviewers starting December 8, 2025.
Video reviews don’t use AI alt text and will always show our regular alt text.
Where it applies - AI alt text appears across all Loox widgets.

Q: Can I edit the alt text myself?
A: No. AI alt text is generated automatically and isn’t editable.

A: If you downgrade from the Convert plan, Loox switches to the regular alt text for all relevant photos.
Q: Does this work for all media types?
A: While AI-generated alt texts are only available for photo reviews, video reviews will include our regular alt text.
Q: What does the regular alt text look like?
A: Our regular alt text follows this format: [Customer name] review of [Product name] image 1 out of [Total number of photos/videos].
- For example: "Alex S. review of Tranquilizing Eye Cream image 1 out of 1"
Q: What happens if a photo is removed from the review?
A: If a photo is deleted, Loox removes its alt text.
